Leonardo: first two M-345 jet trainer aircraft delivered to the Italian Air Force
Profumo: “the first delivery of this new aircraft is a significant milestone and a success for the Country”

 The Italian Air Force has a total requirement for up to 45 M-345s. They will gradually replace the 137 MB-339s which have been in service since 1982

 As well as being the future aircraft of the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori acrobatic team, the M-345 is a highly-effective military pilot training platform, delivering jet trainer aircraft-like performance and efficiency at the cost of a turboprop

International participants at IDEX and NAVDEX 2021 exempt from quarantine on arrival in UAE
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), the organiser of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2021) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX 2021), held under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, from 21-25 February, has received approval from the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre for all badge holders to be exempted from the 10-day quarantine procedure on their arrival into Abu Dhabi.

Navantia San Fernando celebrates the launching of the second corvette for Saudi Arabia
• The latest Royal Saudi Naval Forces corvette NB 547 AL DIRIYAH was launched on the 14th November 2020.
• The event was streamed live from Navantia’s shipyard in Spain to Saudi Arabia where the ribbon was cut.
• Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted this program as strategic and expressed the desire for further collaboration between both countries.

EDGE To Acquire Lockheed Martin Shares in Middle East’s
Leading MRO Provider AMMROC
EDGE, the Abu Dhabi based advanced technology group for defence and beyond, today announced that it has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire the remaining 40 per cent stake currently held by Lockheed Martin Corporation and Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, in Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (“AMMROC”).
